TIME

God requires us to manage our time according to His will.
[Ephesians 5:16]

TALENT

We use our unique God-given talents to advance his work.
[Ephesians 5:16]

TEMPLE

Our bodies belong to God. We care for our body temple.
[1 Corinthians 6:19]

TREASURE

God owns everything. We honour Him through faithful benevolence.
[Haggai 2:8]

Stewardship is a wholistic message. In fact, acts of stewardship may be found in all of our other ministries. We are God’s stewards. As Christians, we have been entrusted by Him with time, abilities, opportunities, and possessions. We have the blessings of the earth and its resources. This makes us accountable to him for their proper use. When we faithfully carry out our service to Him and our fellow human beings, we are acknowledging that God has supreme ownership of everything.

God entrusts us with responsibility for ourselves, our world, our fellow humans, and our material resources. God blesses our efforts as we live for Him.

What About the Tithe?

When we return tithe and give offerings for the spreading of the Gospel, we are actually partnering with God, and supporting the growth of the church. As good stewards, we rejoice in the blessings that come to others as a result of our own faithfulness. Stewardship is really a privilege given to us by God himself. It was a training adapted to get rid of all narrowing selfishness and covetousness, and to cultivate breadth and nobility of character.
