Meet Our First Elder

Dr. Wrendon Timothy (affectionately known as “Wren” or “uncle Wren”), is currently the Chief Elder at Ebenezer SDA Church. He also serves as the Chairman of the Finance Committee, Music Director and Religious Liberty Director and provides impetus, input and insight in all areas of our church. Ebenezer SDA church is a growing, multigenerational, multicultural, multiethnic church whose vision is set and maintain an environment where persons from all ages, backgrounds and cultures are free to worship; who are growing in their relationship with Christ; and for whom Christ will use their gifts and influence to grow His Kingdom.

My favourite Bible character is Paul. My favourite sport is basketball.

A native of Trinidad, Wrendon’s vast background in management, leadership, finance, accounting, theology, insurance, law and corporate governance, as well as a consultative approach to leadership, gives him a very unique perspective on most matters. Wrendon serves as the Chief Financial Officer & Corporate Secretary of Oxbridge Re group (NASDAQ:OXBR). Dr. Timothy is a Chartered Accountant and Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a Member of the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants, a Chartered Secretary and Member of the Chartered Governance Institute and holds a Doctorate in Theology among a myriad of other postgraduate certifications.

He strives for his life to epitomize Paul’s counsel in Col 3:23 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters”. Whether it be his

It also embodies the nature of the Ebenezer church family, a place where people feel loved and accepted for who they are, and grow together to where God desires them to be. His greatest desire is to make it to Heaven and to help others get there too!
