Generator Installation Natural Gas/Propane Plumber Job Description

Professional Engines Systems is seeking someone experienced in plumbing to install residential and commercial stand-by generators with both Natural Gas and Propane. Applicant must be reliable, punctual, and able to communicate with customers. This is a full or part time position (with Saturdays and evenings as project dictates) for an experienced plumber. Must be able to operate Power Pipe Threader, Press Tool Pipe Crimper, trench and install CTS gas line, install risers, and install flex gas line. Basic hand tools, good driving record, and pre-employment drug testing are required.

Experience

· Minimum 2 years plumbing and in residential and industrial installation and repair. And tasks including but not limited to:

• Assist on Installation of generators.
• Install pipework.
• Read service manuals to perform installation.
• Inspect and test equipment to locate damage or worn parts and diagnose malfunctions, or read work orders or schematic drawings to determine required repairs.
• Solder, wrap, and coat wires to ensure proper insulation.
• Disassemble defective equipment so that repairs can be made, using hand tools.
• Lift units or parts such as motors or generators, using cranes or chain hoists, or signal crane operators to lift heavy parts or subassemblies.
• Operate trench hole digger.
• Must also be able to safely operate a forklift when necessary to lift various motors, generators and other equipment.
• Responsible for driving company vehicles with trailers and rental generators.
