Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Mid to Senior level Wordpress Web Developer to take ownership of our high-traffic corporate websites and lead generation funnels. As our resident WordPress expert, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development, performance, and security of our web properties. You will work with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating closely with our broader team of software engineers to ensure our WordPress ecosystem is robust, scalable, and aligned with modern development standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong PHP background, React JS experience and a passion for building custom solutions that drive business results. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary owner and subject matter expert for all WordPress-related development, maintenance, and strategy. Develop, customize, and maintain high-performance, responsive WordPress themes and plugins. Ensure the security, scalability, and uptime of our high-traffic websites. Collaborate with marketing teams to implement and manage lead funnels, landing pages, and A/B tests using tools like GTM, GA4, and Zoho Develop custom Gutenberg blocks using React.js to empower our content teams. Manage all technical aspects of the CMS, including plugin and core updates, version control via Git , and database optimization. Build and maintain integrations between WordPress and other business-critical systems, such as Salesforce, Internal APIs and marketing automation platforms. Work alongside other software engineers to align on best practices, code standards, and deployment processes. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, from performance bottlenecks to plugin conflicts. Skills & Qualifications 3-5 years of professional experience in Wordpress Development. Proven experience managing and scaling high-traffic WordPress websites. Expert-level proficiency in PHP and a deep understanding of the WordPress architecture (hooks, APIs, etc.). Strong experience with version control systems, specifically Git and collaborative workflows. Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with other engineers and non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency with MySQL and a strong understanding of database performance in a WordPress context. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience with modern CSS frameworks, especially Tailwind CSS . Experience with newer development environments like WP Env and Docker. Familiarity with WP Engine for managing all environments. Familiarity with React.js for building custom Gutenberg blocks. Hands-on experience developing custom themes for Full Site Editing (FSE) . Extensive experience building complex solutions with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) Pro .
