• Location: Washington, DC 20010 (DC nursing jobs)\n
• Unit: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)\n
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/24/2025 – End: 2/23/2026)\n
• Shifts: 5x8-hour shifts/week (Day: 08:00–16:30, Night: 17:00–08:00)\n
• Hours per Week: 40\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1970 - $2110\n
• Call: Weeknight and weekend call required (remote unless medically necessary)\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU nursing experience (critical care nursing)\n
• Active DC RN license (pending accepted with proof; must have license before start)\n
• BLS certification required\n
• Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) experience required\n
• VAD Certification preferred (within 1.5 years)\n
• Travel nursing experience required\n
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred\n
• Two supervisor references required\n
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)\n

\n\nCVICU RN Responsibilities\n

\n
• Coordinate monitoring and management of patients with ventricular assist devices (VADs) during procedures and operations\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to maintain VAD device inventory, tracking, and FDA recall response\n
• Provide patient education on VAD care in accordance with regulatory standards\n
• Take VAD call and assist with cardiac procedures as needed\n
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients with advanced heart failure and VADs\n
• Accurately document patient care and interventions using Cerner electronic health records\n
