The SQL Server DBA will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and performance optimization of Microsoft SQL Server databases that support the Aras Innovator-based product lifecycle management (PLM) platform.

The role ensures database reliability, availability, and performance, working closely with the engineering IT support teams.

Responsibilities:

• Administer SQL Server databases supporting the Aras Innovator platform.
• Perform regular maintenance including backup scheduling , index optimization , statistics updates , and health checks .
• Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning and index management .
• Manage security , roles , and permissions across development, test, and production environments.
• Support database-related activities during Aras Innovator application upgrades and patches .
• Implement and manage scheduled jobs , monitoring , and automation tools .
• Participate in capacity planning , data growth forecasting , and system scaling .

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA in enterprise production environments.
• Expertise in T-SQL , indexing , execution plans , and performance tuning .
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server Agent , SSRS , and SSIS .
• Strong understanding of backup strategies and disaster recovery planning .
• Familiarity with .NET applications and their interactions with SQL Server.
• Experience with Aras Innovator or other PLM platforms is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., SolarWinds ).
• PowerShell scripting experience for automation and administrative tasks
