Senior Litigation Counsel Position Overview:

A nationally recognized litigation firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Counsel to join its high-performing team. This role is ideal for a seasoned trial attorney with deep experience in insurance defense , construction defect , premises liability , trucking accidents , and complex commercial litigation . The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative, tech-forward legal environment that values strategic thinking, courtroom excellence, and client-centered advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a diverse docket of high-value insurance defense and civil litigation matters .
• Handle all phases of litigation including client intake, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, and trial .
• Represent clients in state and federal courts , with a focus on achieving efficient and favorable outcomes.
• Draft and argue complex motions including summary judgment, motions to compel, and motions to dismiss .
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and legal support staff , fostering professional growth and excellence.
• Provide strategic legal counsel to clients across industries such as construction, transportation, energy, healthcare, and maritime .
• Collaborate with internal practice groups to deliver integrated legal solutions.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Texas ; additional bar admissions are a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of litigation experience , with a strong emphasis on insurance defense and trial work .
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-party litigation and deliver results.
• Strong command of civil procedure, tort law, and insurance coverage .
• Excellent legal writing, oral advocacy, and negotiation skills.
• Experience in construction defect, maritime, and real estate litigation is highly desirable.
