Mercy South OR conducts a variety of cases including Orthopedics, Neurology, General and Vascular Services. RNs are typically hired into one of these specialty pods, and may have the opportunity to cross-train to other pods in the department.

Proposed Schedule : Three 12s, Four 10s or Five 8s (Days)

Overview:

As guided by an assigned RN, utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
• Experience: Must have at least 2 years of Surgery, Perioperative or Critical Care experience.
• License: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
• Physical Requirements: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
