Job Description

Job Title: Product Designer / Product Manager

Location: Brooklyn, NY (Hybrid: 2–3 days/week in office)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience Level: Mid to Senior (3–5+ years)

About Us

We’re a fast-growing Series A startup revolutionizing the remote management of self-storage facilities across the U.S. While we’ve built a strong foundation as a service-based company, we’re now doubling down on our technology. From tenant and client portals to internal reporting dashboards, revenue management tools, and AI-driven automation, we’re building out a robust suite of products to transform our industry.

As we scale, we’re looking for a forward-thinking Product Designer / Product Manager to lead the charge on product development—someone who is as comfortable defining product strategy as they are wireframing, managing timelines, and coordinating with engineering.

The Role

You’ll join a small but mighty team and take full ownership of product development—from ideation through to design, implementation, and launch. You’ll work closely with leadership and stakeholders to deeply understand our business, our clients, and our internal teams, and translate those insights into high-impact products.

In this hybrid role, you’ll not only design and manage new products but also help oversee legacy product redesigns and contribute to our evolving product strategy. You’ll collaborate with engineers, data analysts (as that team grows), and operations staff to ensure our solutions are both usable and scalable.

Your Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for key internal and customer-facing tools
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define problems, and identify solutions
  • Translate business needs into wireframes, prototypes, and functional specs
  • Work closely with engineering to prioritize features, manage backlogs, and iterate quickly
  • Lead agile ceremonies, roadmap planning, and retrospectives
  • Help evolve and maintain design systems and standards
  • Evaluate success through user feedback and measurable KPIs
  • Support the redesign and refinement of legacy tools with fresh UX thinking
  • Stay ahead of trends in product design, AI, and user behavior to keep us competitive

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years (5+ preferred) in a product management or product design role
  • Proven track record of launching digital products—please share at least 3 in your portfolio
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and human-centered design
  • Experience with agile development and working closely with engineering teams
  • Highly self-organized with excellent communication and project management skills
  • Strategic thinker who can zoom out to see the big picture and dive deep into the details
  • AI-curious and forward-looking—bonus if you’ve worked on AI-integrated features
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and excited to build from 0 to 1
  • Based in or willing to work from Brooklyn, NY, 2–3 days per week

Our Team

You’ll be joining a tech team that includes:

  • 1 Senior Developer
  • 2 Mid-Level Developers
  • 1 Web Developer
  • Plus plans to build out a dedicated data team and expand our full-stack capabilities

How to Apply

Please send us:

  • Your portfolio with at least 3 projects
  • A cover letter explaining why you're excited about this role and what you bring to the table

Compensation

Salary : 115 - 135K/year based on experience

Bonus : Up to 20% annual bonus

Benefits : Health, vision and dental plans offered

Note: AI-generated applications will be rejected. We’re looking for real people with real ideas.
