We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Cardiologist for a locum tenens assignment in Maryland. This opportunity begins on Jan 5, 2026, and spans 168 days, offering inpatient day coverage with flexible schedule options and no night call. Shifts are typically 8am to 5pm, with opportunities to cover the echo lab and intraoperative TEEs if experienced.

Job Details

• Provider Type Needed: Cardiologist
• Schedule: Multiple options available:

1. Cover echo lab Monday–Friday
2. Cover echo lab Monday–Friday plus general cardiology consult service/call on Saturday and Sunday
3. General cardiology consult service starting 7am Monday and ending 7am the following Monday

• Typical day shifts: 8am–5pm
• EMR: Cerner

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide inpatient day coverage for cardiology services
• Perform and interpret echocardiograms in the echo lab
• Conduct intraoperative transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) if experienced
• Deliver general cardiology consults as scheduled
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality patient care
• Adhere to all institutional policies and procedures

Additional Information

• Maryland medical license required
• Board certification or board eligibility in Cardiology required
• Experience with echo lab and intraoperative TEEs preferred
• No night call obligations
