Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Job Description

As a Pharmacy Technician in the fulfillment area, you will operate automated packaging and dispensing equipment. Your role involves ensuring that the automated packing equipment is correctly filled with medications, fulfilling bulk prescriptions, and staging finished items for shipment to customers. You will assist with making sure packages are ready for dispatch.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated packaging and dispensing equipment.
• Ensure proper medications are filled into automated packing equipment.
• Fulfill bulk prescriptions.
• Stage all finished items for shipment to customers.
• Process medications received from suppliers and package them into individually packaged and labeled blisters.
• Run Paxit (automated) machine that fills prescriptions, ensuring correct medication distribution.
• Troubleshoot any alarms or issues with the Paxit machine.
• Sort, organize, and prepare totes for nursing homes based on facility location and dispatch time.
• Package non-pill prescriptions such as creams, ointments, inhalers, and eye drops using printed orders.

Essential Skills

• Data entry experience.
• Filling and labeling expertise.
• Pharmacy Technician: Trainee, Registered or Certified.
• Experience in retail pharmacy.
• Inventory management skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to replenish supplies around the pharmacy.

Work Environment

This position involves working full-time on the 2nd or 3rd shift, with shifts starting between 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm or 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm, respectively. Employees work 8.5-hour shifts, either every weekend or every other weekend, totaling five days a week. You will work every other holiday, amounting to three holidays per year. The dress code requires scrubs or business casual attire with comfortable, clean tennis shoes. The facility is very clean and organized, with a front desk and office area for order entry and pharmacists. The operations floor features automated equipment and shelves for refilling, along with computer screens for order tracking. Additional amenities include an IV room and a break room with coffee, water, and snacks available for purchase.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of EUCLID, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
