Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced oncology pharmacist ready to bring specialized knowledge and leadership to a dynamic cancer and infusion center. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient therapy for appropriateness, including age-specific modifications and interventions to prevent adverse drug events.
  • Conduct clinical research and engage in professional development activities to stay at the forefront of oncology pharmacy practice.
  • Serve as a liaison between the pharmacy and other departments, providing operational support and educational services for new treatment regimens.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of regulations governing preparation of intravenous admixtures, chemotherapy, and sterile products.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support personnel to ensure pliance and quality.
  • Manage inventory control, ensuring adequate medication stock for oncology practice.
  • Develop and update department and nursing policies for safe and effective medication use.
  • Collaborate with the oncology team to standardize ordering procedures for chemotherapeutic medications.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Pharmacist with specialized experience in oncology pharmacy.
  • Strong clinical knowledge of chemotherapy preparation and sterile product regulations.
  • Proven ability to supervise pharmacy staff and coordinate cross-departmental initiatives.
  • Excellent munication skills to provide training and support to healthcare teams.
  • Experience in clinical research and protocol development is a plus.
