Providing accessible and affordable healthcare for all, today and every day. CHCA is seeking a full‑time Medical Scribe to join our Skilled Nursing Facility Practice team at our Fair Oaks office. The role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and rewarding environment. The regular work schedule will be Monday–Friday. Job Responsibilities Prepare and assemble medical record documentation/charts for healthcare providers. Enter the patient room with healthcare provider during patient visit to capture and transcribe medical record documentation utilizing electronic medical record applications. Ensure medical record compliance by self‑documentation attestation. Assist with scheduling patients for assigned providers (physicians, NPs). Update patient history, physical exam, and other pertinent health information of the patient. Prepare and send all documentation to healthcare providers for review and approval via authentication of detailed data entry and facility‑specific procedures. Monitor the duration of basic lab results and screening procedures. Take notes during patient visits and document in electronic health records system. Record results of medical examinations. Assist in the automated prescription of the medication process. Comply with medical facility policies, including those relating to HIPAA and OSHA. Perform other clerical duties and tasks to improve healthcare providers’ productivity and clinic workflow as assigned. Follow Community Health Centers of America’s rules, policies, and procedures while on assignment. Follow OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignment. Respect cultural and religious practices of patients. Uphold HIPAA regulations. Punctual and dependable for assigned/confirmed shifts.
