Qualifications and Education:
Education: A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred; graduate of an accredited business school or college in the medical administrative discipline preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct reports.
Language Skills: Must be proficient in the English language, both verbally and written, in order to communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians, vendors and the general public.
Physical Demands: Periods of prolonged sitting. Light physical effort; some standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping; manual dexterity to operate keyboard and other equipment; detail oriented; able to maintain a pleasant and courteous demeanor under all circumstances.

Work Environment: Climate controlled environment with occasional periods of being outside.

High School Diploma/GED or better.
Must have excellent computer skills and proficiency with Windows based programs required.
Must possess excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, staff, physicians, vendors and others.
A minimum of 1 year of experience as a medical secretary in an EMR environment required, preferably in orthopaedics.
