WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Medical Surgical Nurse a for a 13-week contract assignment at a Prestigious Community Hospital in Rochester, NY. Travelers can earn up to $2,320 per week for this role.

Job Function:

\n

• Night Shift.
\n
• 3x12: 7pm - 7:30am.
\n
• Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications.
\n
• Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse.
\n
• Educates patients on surgical procedures. Records patients’ medical information and vital signs.
\n
• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records electronic displays.
\n
• Initiates corrective action whenever the patient.
\n

Job Requirements:

\n

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).

\n

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state (or willingness to obtain).

  \n
\n

• 2 years of experience as a Medical-Surgical/Vent Registered Nurse required.

  \n
\n

• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

  \n
\n

• ACLS certification.

  \n
\n
