Overview

A kind couple living in San Francisco are seeking a local newborn care specialist to start at the end of April (due date 25th). The schedule will most likely be 6-8 weeks of 20/7 and then 2-4 weeks of 10-12 hours 5-7 nights per week. The contract will be for approximately 12 weeks, with potential to extend. As new parents, they're looking forward to finding someone who can educate them on baby sleep, feeding, routines, and milestones.

Responsibilities

• Care and engagement of the baby including but not limited to sleep, feeding, and routine management.
• Light housekeeping related to the baby, which will include keeping baby's spaces organized, clean, and tidy and sanitizing any toys or feeding items including bottles and pump parts
• Communicating with the parents about milestones, activities, temperament, and needs and collaborating with them on care.
• Prioritizing the safety and well-being of the baby at all times
• Provide professional guidance as it pertains to baby care while respecting the family's personal preferences
• Encourage healthy sleep habits and follow safe sleep guidelines

Qualifications

• The right candidate will have a positive and warm demeanor, glowing references, and plenty of experience supporting first-time parents.
• Knowledgeable and supportive personality, able to kindly guide new parents

Requirements

• Up to date on Tdap vaccine
• TrustLine registration, or willing to register
• Calming and easy going personality
• Willing to share a sleeping space with baby
• Legal to work in the US
• No dog allergies (one friendly large dog in the home)
• Candidate must have own local housing or live within easy commuting distance as this will likely transition to working just nights

Salary and Benefits

Hourly pay between $40-60 depending on experience and certifications
