We’re looking for a highly motivated art director who can concept, art direct and oversee shooting and/or CGI production of product storytelling content for multiple consumer channels. Freelance salary rate: $60-75/hr This role is hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote. Office Location : Long Beach or Los Angeles, CA Responsibilities Channel strategy, insights, and business objectives to form groundbreaking ideas and design decisions that make a real impact on the target audience for each project. Work closely with our account, strategy and production teams to concept and create bold, industry–leading consumer content programs Develop and oversee visual direction for content including live action & motion graphics via storyboards / mood boards / style frames Art direct (from start to finish) photo and video shoots, including post-production Delegate appropriately to develop others, balance workload and effectively manage time, and take full responsibility for utmost quality of deliverables within timelines Participate in regular creative reviews and embrace constructive feedback Add to an evolving team of likeminded, passionate, and talented individuals Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Filmmaking or equivalent expertise/experience 3-5 years of experience within Design, Advertising, Marketing, Content Development, Branding Agency or equivalent experience (required). Automotive experience is a huge plus Experience with the process of photo, video and digital productions and the strengths and limitations within them. An understanding of working with CGI is a plus. Experience and proven success in the management of teams, vendors, budgets, and agency relationships Possess an excellent sensibility for photography, illustration, typography and motion graphics A high proficiency with creative and project management tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and Figma Able to work collaboratively with an existing team as well as the skill to work independently on several different projects at once Able to articulate your ideas passionately with collaborators such as directors, photographers, and post-production teams and working together to execute that vision A high level of comfort in presenting work both internally and to clients with style, passion and confidence A deep attention to detail and a dedication to proper delivery Quick to adapt through proactive problem solving, work with a sense of urgency A strong sense of humility (no ego) and a strong desire to learn new things and grow creatively US Pay Range $60—$75 USD We are committed to fostering an environment ripe for creativity and variety of thought and it starts with you.
