Position Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Fourth Grade Teacher to join our joyful community of educators. The ideal candidate will cultivate a warm and structured classroom atmosphere where students feel safe, supported, and inspired to grow in knowledge, faith, and friendship. Fourth grade is a year of discovery, independence, and confidence — and we’re looking for a teacher who is excited to lead students on that journey.

Key Responsibilities

Instruction and Curriculum Delivery:

● Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with Archdiocesan curriculum standards.

● Use data-informed strategies to differentiate instruction and meet diverse student needs.

● Encourage creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking across all subject areas.

Classroom Environment:

● Create a respectful, joyful, and well-managed classroom space.

● Use positive behavior strategies to support social-emotional learning and growth.

Faith Formation:

● Integrate Catholic teachings and values into everyday instruction and classroom culture.

● Model and encourage a Christ-centered approach to learning, service, and friendship.

Assessment and Communication:

● Monitor student progress through both formal and informal assessments.

● Communicate proactively and consistently with parents and school leadership to celebrate student achievements and address individual needs.

Collaboration and Professional Growth:

● Partner closely with the third-grade teaching team and specialists to support student success.

● Participate in school-wide events, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities with energy and openness.

Qualifications

● A passion for working with children and a love for teaching in a Catholic school setting.

● Bachelor’s degree in Education.

● Valid teaching certification and experience in elementary education.

● Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

● Comfort with integrating technology into instruction.

● A commitment to the mission and values of St. Katharine of Siena School.
