Job Description

Start your career as a Forklift Operator with MAU at Michelin in Midland City, AL. As a Forklift Operator, you will safely and efficiently operate a sit-down electric forklift and related warehouse systems while performing heavy lifting, equipment inspections, and other physically demanding material-handling tasks. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of forklift experience in the past 5 years.

• $16.70 per hour, with $1 shift differential
• First Shift | 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM AND Third Shift |6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to obtain a high school diploma or GED within 1 year of employment at Michelin
• 1+ year(s) of forklift experience in the past 5 years
• Stable work history
• Basic computer skills
• Willingness and ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including overtime and weekends as needed

What You'll Do as a Forklift Operator

• Operate a sit-down, electric forklift proficiently during a 12-hour shift
• Withstand constant mounting and dismounting of the forklift
• Operate a lift mount warehouse management system
• Perform a forklift safety inspection at every shift
• Lift 60+ pounds repeatedly
• Repeatedly lift 60+ pounds, stand, stoop, walk, bend, and twist as needed to perform required tasks
• Perform all other tasks as assigned
