Job Summary

The Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry is seeking qualified applicants for our Database Manager position.  This is an administrative position supporting the general operation, financial and database management of the organization.

Job Responsibilities

Specific duties will include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Developing comprehensive knowledge of organizational policies and structure, business practices, policies and procedures.
  • Preference given to candidates who have direct experience working with a membership and/or government affairs organization.
  • Database management – Update and maintain the accuracy of membership database, invoicing and payment processing for membership retention and event registrations, management of committee lists, ad hoc reporting as needed to staff, staff training on database functions.
  • Coordinates and prepares various reports and presentations as required.

Assistance with other general operational functions as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, however, an experienced candidate with an Associates Degree will be considered.
  • Experience in a professional services firm and/or trade organization.
  • PC proficient – Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel and Word necessary. (Willingness to learn new software and passion to improve a big plus)
  • Proficient with membership database software essential  (ChamberMaster experience a plus)
  • Detail-oriented
  • Knowledge of billing and collections a plus
