Commercial Construction Superintendent

Location: Redding, CA

Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead on-site operations for commercial projects in the Redding and greater Northern California area. This role is responsible for overseeing daily field activities, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring safety and quality standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a superintendent who takes pride in building high-quality commercial projects and fostering strong site teams.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all on-site construction activities from start to finish
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel
Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are met
Enforce jobsite safety programs and OSHA compliance
Conduct daily site walks and quality control inspections
Communicate effectively with project managers, owners, inspectors, and architects
Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
Track progress, resolve field issues, and document daily reports
Ensure work is completed to contract documents and company standards

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects
Proven experience managing multiple trades simultaneously
Strong knowledge of commercial building methods, sequencing, and scheduling
Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and schedules
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Valid driver’s license and ability to work on-site in Redding, CA
