Clinical Administrative Assistant Location: Montgomery, AL Job Type: Full-Time Salary: $16.00 per hour

About Us: SafetyNet Behavioral Healthcare is a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) serving adolescent males and females. We operate three main campuses—one in Dallas County and two in Montgomery, Alabama—along with a separate administrative office in Montgomery. Our mission is to provide structured, therapeutic environments that support the emotional and behavioral growth of our residents.

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Clinical Administrative Assistant for our Montgomery administrative office. This is a full-time position with limited resident interaction, primarily focused on supporting the clinical and administrative functions of the organization.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, task-oriented professional with strong communication skills and a team-focused mindset. The ideal candidate is proficient in basic computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook), has experience with data entry, and can type a minimum of 35 words per minute.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Open the office by 8:00 AM and close by 4:30 PM each business day
  • Greet and assist office visitors and guests professionally
  • Answer and process phone calls for Montgomery employees
  • Distribute and collect new hire application packets
  • Assist with onboarding for new hires and interns
  • Perform data entry of clinical documentation
  • File treatment records in resident charts
  • Create charts for new admissions and archive charts for discharges
  • Conduct regular chart audits to ensure documentation accuracy
  • Coordinate intake processes with DHR (Department of Human Resources)
  • Request updated or missing documentation needed for charts from DHR
  • Manage incoming/outgoing faxes, phone calls, and emails as needed
  • Maintain office supplies and assist with meeting setup
  • Maintain order and cleanliness of the common office spaces
  • Other administrative duties as assigned
  • Reports directly to the Clinical Director

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of data entry or clerical experience (preferred)
  • Clerical or administrative education/training is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 25 years of age
  • Must possess a valid, unencumbered Alabama driver's license
