Job Opportunity: Class C Truck Driver

Surestaff is immediately hiring a Class C Truck Driver for ePost in Itasca, IL. As a Class C Truck Driver, you will be responsible for loading and unloading goods from the warehouse into/off your truck and then transporting the load. Candidates must have 6 months of truck driving experience and must have a Class C Drivers License. Surestaff is invested in their team members! This is a temp to hire position.

Positions Available:

• Full time position is Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 7am start time
• Pay: $20-$21/HR
• Part time position is Monday Friday start time is 6am
• You would be driving Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday Friday you would be working in the warehouse. You would be covering days off driving for the full time driver.

Responsibilities:

• Pick-up loads, organize goods in the truck, and secure packages.
• Transport pallet goods and packages from place of origin to assigned destination.
• Obtain signatures or warehouse scans to confirm and complete deliveries with clients.
• Communicate with dispatch and clients as needed.
• Maintain and service vehicles as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.)
• Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs.
• Track and report working hours.
• Adhere to company rules and regulations.
• Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions.

Job Knowledge and Skills:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Valid Class C Drivers license required.
• 6+ months of driving a box truck is required.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations for the last 3 years.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment, such as electric lifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks, a plus.
• Be able to stand/walk for long periods of time, frequently push, pull, bend, and reach, and lift up to 49 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
