This is a unique opportunity to play a foundation role in helping build the people and human resources function of a company with a clear mandate to scale to over $500million in revenue within the next five years. Mosaic Service Partners is seeking to be the marketleading business in its specific vertical, building on Alpines existing success elsewhere in residential services. The goal of Mosaic is to help drive growth at its operating companies by providing support resources across talent, sales and marketing, finance, integration, etc. while still empowering local leaders to make the right decisions for their business and people.

While Mosaic Service Partners is a startup, its institutional support and committed capital from Alpine, deal sourcing and execution resources, and experienced management team provide a strong competitive advantage and will allow the company to deploy a rapid M&A growth strategy, which are very unique characteristics for an earlystage firm. Mosaic is looking to hire individuals who understand the build, are willing to roll up their sleeves and work hard across many lanes and are excited by the opportunity to create an industryleading platform from its inception.

Opportunity Overview

The Chief People Officer will develop the People and Talent framework to support Mosaics upcoming phase of rapid expansion. This executive will design the HR strategy for scalable growth, establish a compliant and integrated People infrastructure, create a nationwide recruitment system, serve as a strategic HR business partner to field leadership, and foster a highperformance culture that reliably attracts and cultivates top talent. The CPO will be an essential member of the Executive Leadership Team and a versatile problemsolver throughout the organization.

What Youll Do

  • Build Foundational HR Infrastructure
  • Establish a scalable, compliant, and integrated People platform that supports a fastpaced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Own governance of compliance, benefits, tax, payroll, and workforce policies.
  • Conduct full HR assessment of all brand partners and integrate systems and processes within the first 30 days.
  • Develop an HR diligence audit process for all future acquisition targets within 90 days.
  • Implement shortterm PEO solution and oversee Greenhouse ATS; ensure 100% hiringmanager adoption across brand partners.
  • Serve as owner of all People systems and processes that underpin workforce accuracy, performance, and integrity.
  • Lead Recruiting & Talent Strategy
  • Build the systems, tools, and recruiting infrastructure required to support a $100M+ EBITDA platform.
  • Build and lead a highperforming recruiting team capable of topgrading founders and placing GMs quickly postclose.
  • Expand the talent model beyond GM hiring; empower field leaders to execute independently with brand partner support.
  • Track gross hiring against plan and hold regional leaders accountable for performance.
  • Strategic HR Business Partner to Field Leadership
  • Establish strong operating cadences with field leaders and manage to humancapital KPIs.
  • Partner with brand partner leaders on organizational design, job descriptions, and scorecards.
  • Deploy quarterly eNPS/CSAT surveys; interpret findings and drive action.
  • Codify Mosaics hiring excellence standards and embed them into every deal.
  • Track net hiring, retention, and talent movement with full ELT visibility.
  • Implement performance management within 12 months, including coaching leaders on retention, PIPs, succession planning, and top/bottom talent differentiation.
  • Culture, Leadership Development & Change Management
  • Partner with the ELT to define Mosaics core values within six months; embed across onboarding and employee experience programs.
  • Run biannual engagement surveys; drive continuous improvement across brand partners and the operating company.
  • Facilitate quarterly ELT coaching with documented development plans for all members.
  • Proactively topgrade underperforming leadership and coach Bplayers to Aplayers.
  • Ensure compensation and incentive structures reinforce desired behaviors.
  • Serve as a deployable resource for the ELT to diagnose and resolve rootcause issues in the field

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree required, Masters Degree preferred
  • 1015+ years People/HR/Operations/Consulting leadership experience in highgrowth, multisite, or privateequitybacked environments. We are open to chief operating officers as well who are looking to make an impact on the people side.
  • Proven success building team infrastructure and people systems from the ground up.
  • Deep expertise in recruiting, talent management, and topgrading.
  • Strong analytical, operational, and organizational design capabilities.
  • Trusted partner to executives with a bias for action, urgency, and accountability.

Travel and Location

  • Mosaic has an office in NW Washington DC (Van Ness) - onsite 34 days a week in office
  • This position will require some travel to the newly acquired businesses in the Mosaic ecosystem.
