About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. The CFO will be a key strategic partner, working closely with the President & CEO and the Board of Directors to shape the financial future of the organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring the long-term financial sustainability of the company, particularly in the context of the evolving media landscape. The successful candidate will lead all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and operational efficiency initiatives. They will also be responsible for financial management and reporting, as well as operations, compliance, and risk management. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with 8-10 years' of progressive financial leadership experience. A deep understanding of financial planning, nonprofit accounting, and regulatory compliance is essential. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong interpersonal and communication skills, who can effectively manage people and cross-functional teams. Familiarity with financial systems and the ability to translate financial information into accessible insights are also necessary. While not mandatory, a CPA or MBA, experience in public media or nonprofit organizations, and knowledge of relevant regulations and financial models are preferred.
