About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) to lead the development function and drive the organization's vision of sustainable community justice transformation. The CAO will be responsible for creating and implementing the development strategy, with a focus on scaling up projects across South Asia and into new countries. This role involves being the chief spokesperson for the organization, managing a development team, and ensuring a balance between program richness and business efficacy. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the executive team and Board of Directors on strategic and annual plans, building and managing the foundations/grants strategy, and supervising the major donor team to enhance long-term giving experiences. The ideal candidate for the CAO position at the company will have a proven track record in development, with experience in maintaining and monitoring revenue pipelines, and a strong ability to engage with both internal and external constituencies. The role requires a leader who can mentor and grow the development team, as well as collaborate with the communications team to ensure clear and compelling messaging. The CAO will also be involved in donor care and cultivation, including managing a portfolio of major donors and foundations. Strategic thinking, fiscal accountability, and a commitment to the organization's mission are essential. The successful candidate will be adept at moves management, and event coordination, and will be willing to travel as needed.
