Job Position: Catering Attendant / Food Delivery
Hours: Monday to Friday, Morning shifts.
Wage: $18 - $21 per hour
Location: Batavia, IL
Job Summary
As a Food for Thought Catering Attendant, you will prepare and execute catering orders, set up and deliver all food and beverage orders to conference rooms on time, according to the specified daily catering report.
You will be responsible for receiving and packing online catering orders and delivering them to a nearby location.
Additionally, you will assume the role of Barista. You will greet customers, take orders, prepare and serve coffee, blended coffee, cold drinks, teas, espresso, pastries, cookies and other sweets and drinks.
Responsibilities
• Maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all assigned conference center rooms, buffets, serveries and other assigned areas.
• Transporting prepared food orders to the designated location, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
• Loading and unloading items from vehicles.
• Preparing and serving beverages such as drip coffee, espresso-based drinks, tea, and other specialty drinks per company recipe guidelines.
• Providing efficient service and hospitable guest interactions.
• Polishing silver, china, glassware, etc.
• Completing waste logs to ensure proper reporting of consumption after each event.
• Examining products for quality, keeping the catering area clean and neatly organized.
• Ensuring all tools and equipment are in good working order and maintaining a clean cart and storage area.
• Assisting in overall sanitation and organization of server and surrounding areas.
• Working on special events and taking on special projects.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 1 year of experience as Catering Attendant or in Food Service / Hospitality.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to successfully pass Pre-Employment screening and U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) background checks.
• Comfortable in very busy environments.
• Capable of comprehending English language.
• Good communication skills to work effectively with other team members.
• Ability to work with speed, consistency, and organization.
Preferred Qualifications
• Basic coffee knowledge, such as how to prepare common coffee beverages.
• Team player, thriving in collaborative environments.
• Outgoing personality and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

The employee is regularly required to talk, hear, move, reach, grab, and stand for long periods of time. As well as stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
